Double Flashback Friday!
This past Monday, we were thrilled to welcome the delightfully English Andy Zaltzman, who was in town filming John Oliver’s New York Stand-up Show for Comedy Central. Thank you to The Bugle fans who came out en masse. You guys brought your game!
The show was hosted by Kristen Schaal and also featured some of our NY favorites: Jessi Klein, Michael Che, Oren Brimer (Front Page Films) and a surprise set from rocker Mike Doughty!
And as Kurt predicted, when he’s away…Tori Amos will play.

Holy MOLY! It’s almost March! Should we celebrate the end of the warmest winter on record by heading South to say, oh… Texas? Admit it, inside each and every one of us is a tiny hipster, lurking.. Waiting for the announced lineups of this year’s SXSW festival in Austin.
Well, go ahead and wake your tiny mustached man-child! The SXSW Comedy lineup has been announced! Kurt and Kristen will be there! Along with some of our Hot Tub favorites:
James Adomian, Todd Barry, Wyatt Cenac, Brett Gelman, Chris Gethard, Jessi Klein, Eugene Mirman, Larry Murphy, Nick Turner, Brooke Van Poppelen, Reggie Watts and so many more!
Deep in the heart of TEXAS *clap clap clap*!
Paint on some skinny jeans and check out the entire announced lineup over at Huffington Post.
According to TV Dinner & A Movie, this was one of the funniest moments of 30 Rock’s last episode. Agreed. Next episode, please!

Flashback Friday: January 24, 2011: Now THAT takes the cake! Nothing says “happy birthday” quite like a cake with a face on it. Happy belated birthday to the lovely Kristen Schaal! (Photo and cake by Marianne Ways)
We learned about so many things on Monday night: sabotage, the (terrifying) miracle of birth, the power of improvised song, the truth about the female orgasm and the Statue of Liberty’s crown (one is real, the other is STILL closed!), and of course the joy of birthday cake. I guess you just had to be there! (Check out more photos HERE)
